Sam & I are having a little girl!! We found out last night at my 20 week ultrasound!! The doctor went through all of the major bones checking measurements and she said everything looks great!! Sam and i have decided to name our baby girl Clara Rose. We will keep you updated on the baby news!! :)

10 weeks and 4 days!!! :)

So... Sam and I went to the doctor this morning for my 10 week visit and everything is great. I had a physical first (yuck) and then they brought Sam in for the ultrasound. It was so awesome!!! The doctor is great and we got to see some amazing pictures of the baby!!! We'll write again soon!!

We're Pregnant!!!!

I can't believe I'm going to be a mom...it's so crazy, and i still can't believe it!!! This past Friday, I came home from work and Sam was taking a nap; i decided to lay down w/ him b/c i was feeling a little under the weather. I don't know why, but I thought I might be pregnant... I just had a weird feeling, so I went ahead and took a test. It came back positive!!! I think Sam was in denial b/c on the way to dinner we stopped at Target for another pregnancy test and some M&M's :) We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner and after we ate I went to the bathroom and took the second test; we couldn't wait til'we got home!! It also cam eback positive!!! We were so excited!! We called our parents and let them know the good news, but we decided to wait to tell everyone else after I had my first doctor's visit. Well, i went this morning and everything is great! I am five weeks pregnant and i had my first sonogram today. All the doctor wanted to see was the gestational sac and it's location in my cervix, and she wanted to make sure it was the right size and that it had a white lining in the picture. She said everything looked perfect!!! I have to choose a different doctor with Sam tonight (b/c mine doesn't deliver babies)and then I have to go see them in two weeks. Sam & I feel so blessed & we are so excited...a little shocked, but very excited!!!

Oh! and we are moving into a new townhome on Nov. 7!!!! Yay!!!

The Week of Bad News!!! :(

So...Sam & I have been waiting for weeks to find out where we would be stationed next. We were hoping for something new & exciting; like Hawaii or Seattle, but we found out a few days ago that we will be staying in Virginia Beach!!! Of course when we found out we were shocked ad super disappointed, but now that is has sunk in a little bit; it's not too bad. ...Then, Sam & I were thinking about moving into a townhome in the next few months (we were hoping sometime before Christmas)...but then we found out we are stuck in our apartment until January and we can't get out of the lease unless we pay two months rent, $2,000!! Needless to say this hasn't been the best week, but we are trying to make the best of things!! Sam was definitely disappointed about our new station location, but he is very excited about his new job; he will be starting sometime in January. I will have Sam post more info on his new job and new ship asap. We'll write again soon!!! Love ya'll ;)

Maddie's 2nd Debut!!! :)

Poor Maddie.... & Where are we going????

So... Sam's slating process began on Monday, but we still haven't heard anything...apparently we will find out 7-10 days from then. Hopefully, sometime next week Sam will get an email telling him where we will be stationed next!!! I am so excited about finding out; I can barely stand it!!! As soon as we know there will definitely be a post about it!!
The apartment feels a little empty this evening... Maddie had her surgeries today & she will be staying at the vet overnight; she was spayed, declawed & microchipped...poor little thing!!! The vet called this afternoon to tell me that everything went well, and that I could pick her up tmrrw around lunch time. I can't wait to go pick her up tmrrw!!! I feel so bad for her & I miss her too!!! :( I will definitely keep everyone informed on her progress; please keep her in your prayers.
Gotta go for now, Sam & I have to go to Sam's Club & buy 160 hamburgers & 300 hot dogs for the ship. Woohoo!!! :)

The Moffett Family's First update!!

Sam, Maddie & I are loving life. Sam has been very busy with work, but he's really enjoying Navy life, especially when the ship is in the dry docks!! :) He begins his slating process next week and we are hoping to move away from the Norfolk area. Our first choice is Hawaii, so keep your fingers crossed!!!
I have been working at the Reed Manning Salon at Great Neck since October, and my client base has been growing....slowly, but it has been growing. I love being a hair stylist!!!
We recently adopted our newest member of the Moffett Family, Miss Maddilyn Moffett. When we first got her we were under the impression that she was a little boy & we named him Max...about two months later our vet informed us that he was a she!!! :) She went through a mini identity crisis, but she quickly adjusted!!! ;)
Sam & I are really enjoying married life, and we are so excited about our future together!! We promise to keep everyone informed of all of our craziness!!! :)
